The Well

Hey Everyone-

My wife took a few photos at our special Memorial Day cookout last week. This week will be a great week to bring someone, especially for anyone dealing with some sort of pain in their life! Looking forward to seeing you all Sunday.

Have you ever read Psalm 104?  Before you go any further in  this post  pull out your Bible and read Psalm 104.   In fact, I will make it easy for you, if you click on the scripture it will take you to a link where you can read this passage.  Psalm 104.

This week The Well is going to be hosting a special event.  In honor of the holiday weekend at 4:00 pm on Sunday afternoon, we are asking anyone who is Thirsty……. or Hungry to come and enjoy a cookout.  We are going to be breaking out the grill, throwing on some hamburgers (and Tofu for those who don’t like meat) and enjoying a afternoon in the sun.   If you have a Frisbee or football or any other outdoor game, bring it!  It is going to be a total blast eating food and hanging out!

My guess is most of you are wondering what Psalm 104 has to do with a cookout.  Well, here it is, after we fill our stomachs and enjoy the games, we will be breaking out the instruments and having a special Well worship service outside!  No lights, no sound system,  no video…. just a group of people in the midst of God’s incredible creation worshiping him through music and scripture!   It is going to be Awesome.

Here is what you need to know……the cookout starts at 4:00 pm behind the Atrium at Christ’s Church (we will have people directing you where to go). Thanks to the Revolution class, the meal is paid for!  I would highly recommend bringing a lawn chair or blanket as we will be sitting on the grass during service.   The special acoustic worship service will start around 6:00.

This is a great opportunity to bring a friend.  Remember, The Well is for all who Thirst.

Every once in a while I hear a worship song with lyrics that seem to be pulled right off of the tablet of my heart . . . a song that–when I sing it–allows me to say precisely what I long for God, or the world, to know. Hillsong United’s song, Inside Out, is that kind of song.

We’re going to sing it @ The Well before too long (right Matt?), so I thought I’d post it here so you can become familiar with it.

On Sunday, May 27th, on the campus of Christ’s Church Mandarin, we are going to have a cook-out and a special acoustic worship service.  The cook-out begins at 4 p.m. and is completely free!  The cook-out will be followed by an acoustic gathering of The Well on the lakeside patio.  This special gathering @ The Well will be followed by free ice-cream (courtesy of Revolution). 

This is going to be a fun evening full of free food and priceless fellowship for all who thirst.

I know it’s still a long way off, but I’m already excited!  The Well @ Christ’s Church will be hosting Andrew Peterson’s Christmas concert on December 16th.  Mark your calendars now and watch the website for more details in the coming months.
